What we actually do
Most people hire a moving company two or three times in their life. That's not enough to learn what a fair price looks like, which questions matter, or how to tell a good operator from a bad one. It is why the moving industry is so hard to navigate from the outside.
So we do two things. We publish research-backed guides on what moves cost and how they go wrong, and we pass your enquiry to providers who serve your area so you can compare real quotes instead of published averages.
We are not a moving company. We don't move, pack, clean or store anything, and we don't employ the people who do. We introduce you to independent local businesses, and your agreement is with them.
How it works

We look for providers who offer the services you need and genuinely cover your area, rather than blasting your details to everyone on a list.
You compare quotes, ask your own questions, and book whoever you want. Or nobody, if none of them suit.
The standards we hold ourselves to
This industry is full of sites that invent reviews, spin the same article across a thousand city pages, and publish a single confident number where the honest answer is a range. We'd rather be useful than impressive.

We don't invent anything
No fabricated reviews, no made-up ratings, no invented statistics. If we don't have a real number for something, we leave it out rather than fill the space.

City pages carry real local data
Cost of living, population density, median rent and home values come from published datasets, which is why we only publish a city page when we actually have that data for it.

Our guides cite their sources
Cost and regulation guidance comes from bodies like the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and from named industry datasets. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the tidier number.

We show ranges, not false precision
Moving prices vary enormously by market, date and access. Anyone quoting you a single national average is selling certainty they don't have.

Providers are invited, not scraped
We approach moving businesses directly rather than importing a directory. Partner status means we invited that business and they claimed their listing. It is not a licence or insurance check, and we say so plainly in our terms.
What happens to your details
When you request quotes, we pass your name, contact details and move details to the providers matched to your job, so they can get back to you. That's the whole point of the service, and it's the only reason we ask for them.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site. Providers may only use your details to answer your enquiry. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
